Do new fuel pumps come with check valves?
I am replacing the original fuel pump in my 1980 SC as a preventative measure and was planning to replace the other parts like the check valve while I'm in there. Do the new pumps come with them or do I need to buy a check valve separately? Also, besides the bushings and washers, what else should I consider replacing?

The 1980 model came with an internal check valve. I don't know when they went to the external check valve. I would assume that there would be two different part numbers if the original is available. My internal check valve failed so I installed the external valve to my old pump.

none of them came with the external check valve. that was just a repair procedure.
