Carello driving lights?
I picked up a set of carello through the grill driving lights for just this side of nothing. I can't seem to find any sort of references to what bulb it takes or if it's even made for a porsche. The model # on them is PF JOD or 02 405 584. Anybody out there have any idea's what these are?

I can't help with your specific problem, but you might want to check with Cornpanzer. He's having some trouble finding bulbs as well - I think his are Carello's. Do they look like these? They're off a 70's Lancia Stratos:
Also, might find some leads here: http://www.goss.com/rrdistr.htm http://www.mbzponton.org/pax058/foglight/hella.htm |

Tim,
It would be a vey good idea to disassemble and clean up those lamps before you think about trying to use them. You can then take a look at the bulbs and ID them ...

I've already disassembled them and unfortunetly one is missing peices (the holding trim ring) and both are missing bulbs, but when I got them they were free in the end (package deal, sold off other bits) so they've just been sitting.

Try the 356 weasels....they should be able to link you up with parts and bulbs.
www.356registry.com Go easy, as they are mostly crotchety old men with ZERO sense of humor....

Tim,
The mounting base for H3 bulbs are circular with two cutout 'notches' on opposite sides, one is semi-circular and the other is rectangular. The H1 bulb base is D-shaped. There should be tabs or cutouts where the bulbs mount to allow you to identify which bulb will fit.
