Engine Dolly dimensions. Will 24"x24" plywood work?
I bought some 24"x24" pieces of 5/8" ply at Home Depot. For those of you who constructed your own engine moving dollies will this work? I am mostly concerend about the dimensions needed to carry the weight of the engine under the heat exchangers.

Mine was actually a pre-made furniture dolly from there and its dimensions were even smaller. I do wish, however, I had gone the ATV jack route instead(more stable). Harbor Freight has them for like $60.

modify the harbor freight dolly so it is in a "U" shape. this allows the jack to be removed once the engine is lowered.

I bought a furniture moving dolly from the Home Desperate (Depot) for $20 and slapped a piece of plywood on top with a few screws and it was good to go.
