oil tank id?
can anyone tell me how to identify my oil tank? i ordered the correct filter(oc-61) for my year and it doesnt fit... maybe the tank (like most of my car) isnt original? or maybe its just not really a 911 after all?? 912's were wet sump right? please dont tell me its a 912....anything but that.

Mike,
Is the thread major diameter on the filter mounting pad larger than the threads of the OC-61 filter? The OC-54 filter for 1972 - 89 tanks uses a 1" diameter thread. Maybe your tank was retrofitted ...
