And another radio related question.
I recently removed my radio, speakers, amps, antenna and related wiring. I'm gonna listen to the "3.6 overture" and opt for a portable MP3 when I must have musica. Anyway, radio is out and there's that hole in the dash. I'd like to make it a shelf for misc. There has got to be someone that makes a DIN size blank pocket for this space. Even another make and model with the "no radio" option. Any ideas who may have it?
I guess another option is to find one of the older DIN radios that was a complete removable (not just faceplate as currently available) and use only the outer sleeve. I really don't want to go with just the blank. Don't need the gauge space. Any other ideas? TIA |

a really big, rectangular cigarette lighter? :)

ok just kidding. what about a chassis from an old pull out stereo? you would at least have the template to cover the inside with some black plastic to fabricate a storage area. hell, you can even put a door on it.

I had a Nissan that had an original double DIN size radio, I replaced it with a single and a pocket I got at a local stereo store. Check with a place that does installs, I'm sure they'll at least have something generic that you can adapt. Good call on removing the radio, you do know that a pocket will add weight though?;)
