mount Recaro PP to 911 SC

If you mount sliders and a side seat mount to a 911 SC, but there is no seat in there, you end up with about 15 inches of space between the left and right seat mount. Some seats fit in that space, others, like the Recaro Pole Position, do not. It requires about 17".

Are there any resources on how to mount various seats to the 911? I need something wider than the 15" that fits easily, but 17" should be fine.

One challenge is that the left side of the floor bottom of the driver's seat area curves upward about 2" before the door opening. That prevents the seat sliders or seat bases from being the full 17" (or just more) wide.

My current plan is to add a piece of metal so I can offset (out wider) the left seat mount. The sliders are the same "height" as the curved floor bottom so the extra bracket I make will side over the curved floor bottom.

Thanks for any ideas.

Im having a similar issue. I want to install some seats I got on fleebay but they are too narrow. Did you rectify your problem? Im thinking about welding 2 metal strips across the factory mounts so that I can bolt in my new seats.

Go to Brey-Krause's website and buy their side mounts. They are engineered for specific seats and years of Porsches. I went with their mounts made for my Recaro Profi SPG, a set of double Recaro sliders and it was a perfect combination. No cutting, no welding. All stock pickup points with the supplied fasteners.

Not sure what your setup is, but Recaro PP fit in an SC without any problems using Recaro/Sparco sliders and Recaro/Speedware/Brey Krause mounts.
