Racing seats Boston area
I'm looking to jump up to a pair of racing seats for my car. Anyone in or around Boston know of a shop that has a few sets / brands to try out?
Thanks, Vin |

I think HMS motorsports has some. Autobahn Performance might.
I ended up trying a bunch of different seats people had, Recaro seats, Sparco, Corbeau, etc. Thats another option, try to find people nearby that have different seats. A lot of those shops don't carry a lot of brands, they push whatever brand they happen to be a dealer for. You can also ask around on here or other forums based on your body type/build about what seats people find comfortable. I love my SRDs, for example, but someone who was 6' and 200lbs would probably not fit in them. Ditto with the Sparco seats. We have an Evo 2 and Evo 3 in our team's rally car, and I fit nicely in the Evo 2 but slide all over the place in the 3. That might help narrow down which seats its worth going out of your way to try out. I'm hoping in a month when the weather has gotten nicer some of us local 911 people will start doing get togethers/lunches again. When we do, it might be a good time to try out various seats, too.

Thanks
dotorg,
Tahnks for the info... pretty remarkable since I just posted a moment ago. I'm a big guy at 6' 4" 240 lbs or so, so an Evo 2 or 3 might be worth looking into. Know any "big boned" guys that would not mind me sitting in their cars for a moment or two? Thanks, Vin |

Yeah my SRDs wouldn't fit you, nor would an Evo 2. An Evo 3 might work, and I know recaro makes some wider seats than the SRD/Speed.
