I ship stuff there all the time. Get in touch with a good freight forwarder. I can put you in contact with mine and they can refer you to someone there in CA. poorsha@shaw.ca

Dave, We ship parts to a NZ customer that go through (at their request) MAP Cargo 2551 Santa Fe Redondo Beach 92078 Attn: Diego Parts get there every time! I Know they consolidate weekly, sometimes twice and this is good for getting decent rates. I would assume they do Aus too if they are doing NZ. We have also had very competitive quotes from Team Air Express 800 5271168, but are yet to use them. Regards Hayden | ||

Who do Pelican use....I have an order ready just now and have been wondering what the cost of shipping is going to be. If there are a few people interested than maybe we could consolidate and reduce the rate?

The problem for Aussies is getting it all through Customs. Any package with a declared value of more than $400 AU WILL attract GST and Duty. If you consolidate parcels you may go over the threshhold and attract additional charges. You need to consider the freight price vs Duty&GST.

I had early model front and rear bumper strips sent by DHL, it was $400 shipping which sounds expensive, however shipping plus the goods + the import duty still ended up about $800 cheaper than buying them from Porsche Australia.

I think that if you put 30% on top of the prices and then do a comparison, including shipping......we are still better off buying off shore......Like the UK we should call Oz Treasure Island.

Doing everything legally, I was $1000 in front after buying RS P&Cs from Pelican.
