Targa top a little too high

I need to correct this situation has anyone replaced the seals on their targa. Any good links that show installing these seals?

More info please-did you put in a new sela and the top is now too high? If so, this is a known issue-the current seal is a smidge too thick along the top of the frame for pre 89 cars, and needs to be "shaved".

I acutually was able to adjust the clips on my top to fit tighter. Do you actually need new seals or a tighter fit?

I haven't put the new seals in yet. I've tried to adjust the top but can't pull it down enough. The PO had the seals replaced an it looks like they did a poor job. It leaks terribly.
I have a friend with similar year and his seals are lower by about 3/8 inch.
I would like to save the seals and just move them down a little. I have an extra seal in case I can't save the old one.

greglepore: whats with the shaving that you mentioned?

Do a google search for carsinc of New Jersey. Dan, the owner, has instructions he can email you. Essentially, you take a razor blade and remove about a 16th along the lower edge of the seal, test fitting as you go. I suspect that whomever did it for the PO didn't do this.
