Angry Paint on Car

On Sunday my Left hand wheels drove over some wet paint on the road that some idiot has spilt. I was also follwing someone who had drove over it in front of me.
When I got home I saw the white paint splattered all over the one side of my car (color is Slate metallic grey) and there were spots from following the car in front. To really bug me I had just finished polishing the car.
I washed all the paint work and windows using my normal car washing detergent and also scrubbed as best I could under the wheel guard/fenders. It was Sunday so no access to a hoist or good quality jack meant I spent 2 hours on my back in the water trying to get it all off from the underside.

My Questions.
Is there likely to be a problem from paint on any of the suspension and braking parts? If so any suggestions on what I can do?
Any good method to remove the balance of the paint from the inside of the wheel arches?
Thanks in advance for your help

I would try a tar remover on the inside of the wheel wells. I might also try plan ole gasoline. Acetone will almost certainly work but might also take off the paint or under coat so test on a small area first.

I don't imagine your going to suffer any ill effect from the paint other than cosmetic. Having just polished the car was a good thing as you had a layer of protection on the car. That should have helped in the clean up. On the underside I'd use a mild solvent to remove the remaining paint such as acetone. Wear a good solvent resistant glove and a clean towel and wipe till clean.

The day before I left for a month vacation, I drove through that paint they put on garage floors. It got all over our Suburban, the detail shop spent 48 man hours in one day trying to clean the car up.

This is what I get for going on a job interview when I was to be in the office.

If I remember correctly Dupont's Prepsol will remove fresh paint without harm to the existing finish. I've used it for "spray can" vandalism years back.

Thanks guys for your advice.
A few hours with some towels, some brake cleaner as the solvent and a bit of elbow grease got an acceptable result.
Once I finished I washed out the wheel wells. Still got some paint in some of the screw heads but almost all is gone.
I am still finding the odd spot of white paint on my car but I am able to jsut wipe them off using a polishing rag or my wet sponge.
