3.0SC engine from Supertec?

Everyone has been so helpful and I have yet another question. It may have already posted earlier, but I'm not sure.

I've been looking for a good 3.0SC engine for a possible transplant into a '69 - '73 911 or '69 912. I found one that looks pretty good on Ebay for about $8500 from Supertec.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33615&item=2469626 512

Can anyone tell me anything about these guys? Any recommendations or advice?

Thanks so much!

UNCLEZAK

IF I WERE IN THE MARKET FOR A REBUILT ENGINE I WOULD USE UNCLEZAK.

There's only one piece of advice in your situation.

Buy it all done. You'll have a fortune in the car if you buy the engine (and note they want a core back) separate from the car.

A poor '69-70 911 coupe today is $5500. Pull the engine, use that for your core, install this one and the changeover, and logistics will add $1,000.

That's $16K.

There are "done" cars out there (Elombards and my '73s for instance) that are a much better deal.
