Steel slant nose fenders
How can you tell if steel slantnose fenders are OEM not aftermarket?

Good question....
Look carefully at the seven louvered vents...are they perfect? Especially at the ends. Sometimes the initial cut extends past where the louver is pressed. Are headlights part of the package? If so the factory used one motor to raise and close (both) the lights. It is situated in the center of the trunk. Aftermarket systems have a motor in each headlight bucket. I'd say look for welds on the underside of the fender but many aftermarket shops pieced the fenders together the same way the factory did. Do you have pics or more info?

A lot of aftermarket use RX-7 headlights. Porsche used a assembly a lot like a 914 . Randy

BTW, if it has rectangular headlights then it's an easy catch....not factory.

I though of another way to tell if there factory, the price will out of this world. If you still have any questions I can send you some photos of aftermarket fenders that are striped to bare metal. Randy
