G-Tech times of BM fancy cone v. K&N cone filter
Okay, the BMC felt smooth and felt quiker. I took all of the stereo equipment out of my car and went for a few test runs.
The BMC is cone filter with the open end cap which is supposed to increase air flow and would seem to help draw in colder air. The K7N is the plain old K&N cone with the solid end cap of old. The butt dyno was incorrect. Caveat, my G-Tech competition will not calibrate (its broken and they won't replace it those bastards) so I had to use the G-Tech pro with no charting ability. Times for the BMC were as follows: 4.9 4.95 5.15 Time for the K&N were as follows: 4.8 5.05 4.78 It was kind of damp out tonight and I did not check tires pressure before hand. 1/2 tank of gas. Expected better with both, but the G-Tech Pro does seem to run a little slower than the competition. |
