Put two in. One isn't enough to hold the lid up.

Make sure you have really long arms.
![]() I don't know about a C2, but I took off the heater hose to get to the back nut. If you start by taking off the front nut, the back one is a lot easier to remove - no pressure on it! When you reinstall, hold the lid up with one hand while threading the bolt through. Porschenut suggests 2 in back. I think you only need that if you have a tail, but I guess a C2 has a tail....

The C2 has a "tail" that extends at 50. When you say put in 2 do you mean 2 per side (4 total)?

There is probably not a bracket on the other side. So you're looking at 2 - total.

Is there a trick to getting these things back in? Maybe I'm just a weakling.

Bolt in the back one first. Then, open the lid as wide as you can and then you should be able to slide the front bolt in really easily.
