Factory Option Codes
 

Hi Folks

I am new to your forum (which looks great) and a relatively new Porsche owner (1977 811S Targa)

Can someone tell me how to obtain the original factory option codes for my car based on the VIN number ? I cannot find a decal on the car nor do I have the original owner's docs.

Unfortunately, the factory database only goes back to around 1981 or so for free info (1-800-PORSCHE, option 3). So, you would probabably have to order a Kardex ($100+), which is basically like a "birth certificate", and will tell you everything about the car.
