Maintenance reminder

Now that springtime is here, it's an opportune time to spray all the salt residue off the underside of the car and give every single bolt/nut a squirt of PB Blaster (keep it away from belts and electronics).

I just took a look at my neighbors 98 Escort and I wouldn't have believed it if I haden't seen it: the oil pan had rusted through

You left it on there? I have a rusty car from KY and I hate rust! Do yourself a favor next year and..............OH, never mind. It's your rust, do what you want.

Edit: BTW, rust is what made my car a $5000 car instead of a $15,000+ car. But it's a lot of fun.

Rust??? Just drive it! A little snow just makes the handling all that much more fun.

It is fortunate the Pilgrims didn't land on the California coast, otherwise the rest of the country wouldn't have been settled. Jim

What are you doing, driving over margaritas?

you're supposed to *drink* them, not use them as slalom cones...

Cool Rusty cars ....

We had a rusty car here once. Everyone took a day off from work just to go look at it. I think it belonged to someone escaping from the northlands! We may have lots of mosquitoes and gnats here in the deep south, but not many cars die from terminal rust!

What are you doing eating on the bottom on your car? I would recommend that you keep the salt to the dinner table.

We had more salt than snow on the roads in my area (near Detroit) this winter, needless to say, I don't drive the 911 from December 1st until after Easter...
