front seat partial leather reupholstery

Anyone know where I can buy the correct kit and have my local seat guy install. 911 1987 carrera navy blue( might not be the correct name of the color). Its a partial leather interior with just perforated leather on the seat insert and non perf on the bolsters and head rest area.. just the front seats

Pelican sells the kit. Several other do too, such as Original Fit Interiors and World Upohlstry. Both are on the web. Unfortunately all are extremely expensive. I have the same seats as you, including color. I am planning to have mine redone this year.

After much thought and years of research, I am going to do what most others on the board have done in the same situation. That is go to a local independent auto interior shop and have them do the whole thing. Total cost will be from $200 to $300 each seat, posibly less depending on how hard you shop around. The biggest variable is the quality of leather and how muh you use. Or you can watch EBay and pick up a mint used set for about $500 to $600 and sell the ones you have for about $300.

You can buy a different color seat and still make it work because re-dying seats is very easy. You can use Kiwi brand shoe dye. The secret is the clean the seats very well and then clean it again with a color preparer (available at shoe shops). The color preparer prepares the leather and/or vinyl surfaces to accept the dye so that it coats like new.

Good luck.
