3.4 & 3.6 emblem ideas **
Using a variety of factory emblem packages, I've come
up with 3.4 and 3.6 emblems - First, what I started with: http://www.rennstore.com/content/00/...ent/255868.vmg Then the 3.4: http://www.rennstore.com/content/00/...ent/255866.vmg And the 3.6 - used the '9' in '911' upside-down: http://www.rennstore.com/content/00/...ent/255869.vmg A problem - what to use for the 'point' aka the dot in 3.4/3.6???? Ideas? Craig @RS |

Does the "Turbo 3.6" badge from late 1993 have the decimal in it?

Other options include the 1970-71 style decal:

I don't have an early 911, or one with the stock (non-tail) rear grill - so I need either a decal or a 'stick on' type of letter system.
Its a '79 SC with a 1993 RS America tail. Now, the late 1993 Turbo 36 may work, but like you said, whuzzabout the dot? THX Craig @RS |
Jack--where'd you get the 70-71 style window decal?? Did you custom make this? or can i find one with 3.2? Very Nice!!

Are there any emblems that have a "dot"?
It is all that is needed to have a slick emblem for a 3.4 or 3.6....... Assistance por favor, Craig @RS |
The 'turbo 3.6' logo does have the dot as this is what I did

Todd -
THX for the pic & idea. P.S. Is your car parked in an igloo? ;-) Craig @RS |
Cut a pencil eraser (or something similar...head of brass tack?) to the right height and then spray with black paint.
Or drip a small dot of black paint on wax paper, let dry and stick. |
Excellent idea, Rick!
Check out what the eraser dot and 3.6 emblem project now looks like: http://www.rennstore.com/content/00/01/28/25/63/userdirectory46.content/256865.vmg http://www.rennstore.com/content/00/01/28/25/63/userdirectory46.content/256866.vmg Craig @RS 3.6 Varioram in 2 weeks when RS 3.8 cams come in from Steve Weiner:p |
Very cool. Are they on there permanently?
|
Used the adhesive from the factory - the backing that came with the letters and #s. Used a removable 'household glue' for the dot - man that sucker is SOLID when painted with BB-Q black paint!
Craig @RS |
heh heh, did you try placing slightly closer to the 3. Like in Todd's pic? (Just curious)
|
Nah, I'm too symmetrical ;-)
