73 RS ..the glass goes back....
car is almost painted...73 RS... and after the headliner goes in, and the carpet...the glass goes back in. I have all black trim for the car...door handles, windows etc. IS IT TRUE that instead of using the black trim for the windows (front and rear) that the rubber for the 993 fits as a replacement and doesn't require the black trim strips to hold the windows in? Help me out here guys....that would save a bunch of work....for the guys putting the glass back in.

Nope,
Trim-less rubber seals require their own glass, which is lightly larger. Otherwise, your windows will float in the seal and in the openinig. Not nice. |

For what its worth, the metal trim does not help hold the windshield in. Its perfectly fine to run an early style windshield with an early style w/s without the trim. The problem comes when you run two different types together, like early style windshield with late w/s, etc.
