Porsche Crest Fan & Housing ????????

Thinking about having my alternator fan polished and clear powdercoated, and the housing blasted and powdercoated black. What should I expect to pay for this service????? Don't want to get screwed. Whats fair? TIA
Keith

Call Al Reed. Even with shipping back and forth to California, his prices are great. And, his work is impeccable.

If you polish them and then have them powder coated, around 75-80 for the PC.

If you have the fan and shroud polished by someone... probably around 200-250 total at least. The fan has to be done mostly by hand and takes a good bit of time (took me around 6hrs to do mine, and it could use about 3-4 more to get it just right.)

I polished mine myself. Couple of nights in front of the TV and a lot of dirty rags when I was done. Not a big deal really.

He'll do just about anything...valve covers, shrouds, fans, etc.

He did my fan and shroud, and they look great!

Thanks for the input guys. I had polished the fan myself. Found a local shop that is powdercoating both pieces for $50. I will be sure to post pics when I get it back.
