targa roll bar

Does anyone know whether the "targa" script on the roll bar on a 1983 911SC targa is supposed to be painted black (like the roll bar) or silver? I am going to have my bar repainted black. The script is silver, but that could easily be due to wear.

The are supposed to be black but, after a few years they wear off the finish and appear silver.....

Mine are silver brush and orginal.

Now you see my dilemma. One says black, one says silver. I have seen them both ways. Personally, I like the silver.

When I purchased mine in 1986 (new) they were Black.....After 3 years the turned silver....I guess it's a matter of preference. Can you purchase silver brushed targa emblems?

They came both ways, altough I don't know when they came how. Go w/ what you like, it won't be wrong.

The P.O. of my targa had the script painted the same color as the car when he had it repainted. I believe my color code is 304.

Mine are black, Don't know if thats original. I'm the third owner
