I just got an AMCO horizontal bumper guard that goes between the two vertical rear bumper guards are I am about to install. Should the guard be mounted parallel to the rear body panel behind the license plate (an approx 10-15 degree slant to the front of the car) or strictly plumb (perpendicular) with the ground? If anyone has a closeup picture, that would be great! Thanks much.

Don't know if this will help at all, but it is from the factory manual. Not really the angle of shot you need.

I have a set that are slanted. I don't have a picture of them on the car though.

On my car, it was mounted straight up and down.
