How to attach rear quarters :

What is the best compound / glue to attach fiberglass quarters to the remaining steel lip of the old quarter??

Is it a 3m product or something else?

Any advice on using this stuff?

Thanks
Todd

You should ask where you bought your flares.

Here is the 3M stuff. I've not tried it yet but I am about to.

The 3M stuff is excellent according to the B-in-law tha does bodywork. I have worked with fiberglass for many years and can tell you that resin and mat will bond the quarters to the body as well. In either case, the metal has to be ground to rough bare steel and be surgically clean. You need a min of 1" overlap and 2 would be better with FG.

Duct tape?

Duck tape - LOL -yea maybe to test fit!

Thanks for the info on the 3m stuff - I did leave 2" of metal all the way around.

Now I just need to figure out how to mount the s-ducts in the 993 quarters :)
