Just an ugly day...

First off, I got my 5.5" MB Quart speakers and decided to play with them...popped off the grills from my own speakers and found out the PO had upgraded to 6.5" speakers. Dang!!! My bad. To the stereo guys, how are Alpine SPS-1629S speakers compared to the Quarts?

Well, then I dropped the fiance off at the train station, had a client meeting, came home to do some work. Went out to hit the hardware store...where's the fiance's car? That's right...stolen right out of the driveway in broad daylight!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the it was alarmed. Hasn't been recovered yet. If you see an A4 Audi Quatro filled with kids having way too much fun and missing headlights, it's ours.

So, just to be safe I was testing the alarm on the 911. For some unknown reason the radar sensor is kaput!

PS, anybody want to buy a set of MB Quarts 5.5"?

PS At least they stole the audi not the 911.

Now tell the truth, you left it unlocked with the keys in it, and now have plans to get another P-car, right?

Well I would just upgrade to the MB 5.5 but the reference are good too! Don't go Alpine on 6.5's unless your going with their top of the line separates, they look and sound great!

Oh yeah, start looking for a P-car for your future wife, then you will have 3 to chose from on the way to work.

Hum, let's see......Porsche, Porsche or Porsche?

Greg, Sorry to hear the bad news.
What color is the car? I'll keep an eye out for it.
(But I'll bet it went the other way on South Orange avenue.)

Thanks.

It's a black '99 Audi A4 Wagon. At least it wasn't the Porsche...well, the one that runs.

The Audi will show up soon, either stripped or crashed after a joyride. Those things are getting valuable on the black market. You didn't have the high intensity headlights did you? There's a story going around that even Audis that don't have them are being stolen by thieves who don't know the difference. Drop me a PM if you have any questions or problems with the insurance company.

Nah - in NJ (withing spitting distance of Newark anyway) they don't steal cars for the headlights - they simply take the headlights if that's what they want. Newark being the car theft capital of the US, for those of you a safe distance away.

Well, the police recovered it today. I'll pick it up tomorrow but the initial report is only damage to the door lock and the ignition switch.
