A man with one watch...
always knows what time it is, a man with two is never sure, or so the saying goes!
Now let's apply this to tire pressure guages. As you might guess, I have more than one and they don't give the same readings (off by a couple of lbs.) Is there a way to determine which is accurate? One is a digital, and one is analog. Is there a preferred brand/type for autocross? David 1988 Coupe |

There are three measures that are relevent to a tire guage:
1) Accuracy 2) Precision 3) Repeatability What you need is a repeatable measure, with 1lb precision. Accuracy really isn't important. Choose the guage that works best on these measures. When it comes to racing, the question you need to answer is "should I raise pressure, or lower pressure". Not "what is my pressure".
