Really cool for me.

So when I was a kid growing up in Germany we were friends with this guy named Harro.

He taught my brother and I how to drive when I was only 5. Also taught us other things like how to blow up stuff with acetyline, mom used to love that.

Harro was a Porsche works guy. The man could drive the snot out of anything. When he'd drive us back to Oma's there was this hill like you'd find in Frisco, my brother and I would make him get airborne every time. I can still hear my mother screaming in terror as Harro laughed like a madman.

He is one of the reasons that I first fell in love with Pcars.

Last time I saw him I was 18, that was 20+ years ago and the families kinda lost touch.

So my mom got back in touch with him recently. He is retired and spending his time restoring old 911's and racing.

Turns out he is working on a 917 resto project for Rennsport2.

He is coming over and will be staying with my mom in FL before and after the event.

I can't get down there to see him, bummed, but my brother gets to see him and go to Rennsport as part of the crew.

He's gonna have a wild weekend.

Here's a link to the project.

I'd quit my day job to work with him on that car. Excellent report and sorry you don't get to see him. Anyone who regularly gets a car airborne is alright with me.
