What is the difference between 925 silver and 936 silver?

Anybody have photos of the different shades??

My car is a 71 and having done a search, im leaning towards 925..

Any images welcome....

Cheers

All I have on my orginal window sticker is (1977 Targa) is "silver metalic", or was it "Metalic Silver"?. Guess I will have to check the paint codes.

Some one gave this link on another thread:

I'm not sure there is a difference between 925 and 936, "Paintscratch.com" shows the code for my car ('78 SC) as "L936/925" (which was used from '76-'79). The exterior color code on the label on my car is "Z2". For what it's worth here's a picture of my SILVER 1978 SC.

Hey Doog,

Is 'Watney's Red Barrel' as popular now as it was in '68? I have fond memories of a "lost" week spent with some young Brits, who took pity on a bewildered Yank, in London during the summer of '68.

Hope you find the color you're looking for.

The previous owner is sending the actual code in a few days

I'll update then. Needless to say I luv the colour.

FWIW...my 85 shows "S7" in the code...along with 936...a very appealing color I might add.

my 911 carrera 1974 has in the paint color label 936/9-6 unfortunatly it was painted in a cheap grand prix white, but in the scratches it looks very bright.

Does anyone know what the 9-6 mean?
