PMO Weber fuel bar
Does anyone know the AN thread size used on PMO's fuel bar conversion kit (fuel inlet)?
I did a quick search in the archives and couldn't find anything, and it's the weekend so they're probably closed. Does Pelican stock it? Couldn't find either. Thanks, Sherwood |

I am unsure if this answers your question or not,
the opening into the fuel rail is 7/16 NPT. |

The fuel bars have two inlet options; a pipe thread for a screw-on fuel filter (as you describe) or an AN thread (-4, -6?) for hose fittings. Is it -4 or -6?
Sherwood Slackjaw, Duh. Didn't realize what I was fantasizing. I can install an NPT to AN adapter. Thanks for the info. Last edited by 911pcars; 04-10-2004 at 02:30 PM.. |

Sorry if my question created confusion. I know the Weber fuel inlet is 12 x 1.5 mm. That's the thread size for the banjo bolt. I was referring to the inlet thread size at the end of the PMO fuel bar. Slakjaw says it's 7/16" NPT. Can you validate?

Yes they are the standard Weber metric size, 12x1.5; however, I have tried to use some aluminum adapters (to -6) and the thread engagement was just tight enough where I did not dare torque them down. Richard sells brass fittings which seem to fit their alloy fuel bars perfectly, so I would stick with their bits...

Chris, Ron and all,
Thanks for the info. I'll give PMO a call on Monday and ask about their AN adapters. Sherwood |

I exchanged faxes with Richard last week regarding banjo gaskets and his fuel bar replacement for the banjo connections. $80 for the pair. I never thought to ask if these were "plug and play" or if they required adapters.

There are two versions of the fuel bar: a hose-barb version to use with standard fuel line and clamps as on a stock setup, and an AN-6 braided host version. (I used the latter).
Actually I suspect the fuel bar might be the same, but supplied with different adapters in the package.

I have not installed mine yet, and I was going to the hardware store anyways. I took one along with me and i couldnt find anything in the store that would thread in correctly. so I would say ask richard at PMO what size to get or just get them direct from him.
