Mirror Trouble

The driver's mirror on my '84 cab is very loose. So I took out my trusty Bentley manual. It says to insert a screwdriver in the hole at the bottom to turn a slotted wheel counter clockwise and remove the glass. After an hour or trying to find this wheel, I finally gave up.

Can anyone give me a tip on how to remove the glass?

TIA,

Art

Which bit is loose? The whole mirror (i.e. where it's bolted to the car) or just the glass?

The glass can be pulled off with your fingers.

Mirror Glass Removal.

The whole mirror can be removed and retightened with onlt 2 bolts.

Mirror Housing Tightening

Hope this helps.
