Must have been half price, since you only posted half a picture. I like this setup much more than that stock banana.

Ghetto? It looks awesome to me! I'm going the flowmaster route when I do my exhaust. I'll save a ton of weight back there in the process...

Do NOT go with a flowmaster muffler. They do not flow worth a dang. If you would want to flow gases well, would you put triangular shaped baffles into the flow path? I didn't think so, but that's exactly what flowmaster does.

You want a straight through design. Basically a tube that goes from one end to the other, but has many small holes going into a sound absorbing material. This way you muffle the sound but do not obstruct flow significantly. If it works for firearms, it should work for your exhaust gas. I think bigrubberjeep's muffler looks like such a design.

Aigel, I went with the Flowmaster Delta Series 50 single in/ out. It is basically as you describe with a straight through design. The walls are lined with perforated tubes absorbing the noise. Prior to choosing that particular model, I did a lot of research both on this board and the net. The Flowmaster had high ratings, and I have yet to find detractors. The construction is solid. Of course the sound is a matter of taste. I wanted an aggressive sound, without overdoing it. I love it! It is on an 83SC 3.0.

Whoa! After driving it home yesterday from the Muffler shop I thought it wasn't too loud even at high revs (up to 5K)

Well I decided to take it for a quick driv eto Starbucks just now and opened her up on a short streight away, WHOA. She ROARED like I havent heard since I was at the Long Beach grand Prix! No kiding! The nice thing is that it was just a quiet Purr under 5K and a nice soft rumble at idle. Im loving this Magnalfow more and more
