Updated pictures after lowering car

Well the shop dropped the car again, to the level I was looking for.

BEFORE

AFTER

It needs a really good clean, and away we go.

Thanks

Michael

This is what the car looked like when I got it from the seller.

Perfect ride height! The polished Fuchs really finish the look.

I never understood why Porsche painted them black and made such beautiful wheels virtually invisibile. It's like asking a beautiful woman to walk around in a trench coat.

Any way, you nailed it! Good look.

So I guess I like them naked and not dressed at all.

Looks Great! What size are you wheels and tires? What is the dimension from ground to fender lip front and rear?

Looks great, that's what I need to do. How hard was it to do?

Thanks, I am really excited to get the car back.

The wheels are 16x7 front and 16x8 rear. I am not sure on the dimension, but will give them to you once I get the car back.

I had this done, as I would have made a mess if I did it.

Michael

Michael, looks good! Can I ask what the cost was to have the car lowered and what was included? -- Curt

Michael, here's my car. I have it just like I want it, but I think the factory setup is too high as well. I'm also in Huntington Beach. Can you tell me who lowered your car, did you trust them, and if you don't mind, how much it ran you? Thanks!

Hey guys,

I haven't seen the bill yet, so can't tell you the cost. It was done by Pristine Motorsports in Downtown Hungtinton Beach. I will post cost after I see the bill.

Slang,

Great looking car. It looks like you are in South Huntington area, I am up by Springdale and Warner.

Michael

The shop charged me for 3 hours at $85.00 per hour to lower the four corners.

Yeah, thanks Michael. I'm near Newland and Adams. My last mechanic, who unfortunately passed away a short time ago (Stan at Straus in Newport/Costa Mesa) was always adamant about me NOT lowering my car, saying it would compromise the ride quality too much. I've been racing different cars for over 6 years, so a rough ride doesn't bug me, but he was insistent.

So the question is, how did this change affect ride quality, if at all? Since I'd only be lowering the car, not changing torsion bar rates or dampers, it seems to me that the only negative would be loss of suspension travel.....

Lowering mine did significantly reduce the ride quality.

Ride quality down and cool factor way up.

Mark, even though the ride quality was degraded, what about cornering and the lower center of gravity? Life always has those annoying trade-offs.
