Big Red Oil Light Install

Installed a "Big Red Oil Light" in the 78sc this morning. A simple mod for those that take their cars to the track. I have no affiliation with the seller/manufacturer but for $25.00, how could you go wrong.

Here's the link....good pics and instructions

Craig,
I think this guy will get 100 e-mails tonight. I purchased a tail light at a truck stop and have been trying to figure out how to mount and connect. This seems incredibly easy and straight forward.

Also, did you get a set of wheels and sway bars yet?

John

John,
I was looking for 8's to match my 7's but the prices are pretty steep since many are looking for them. I picked up a set of BBS 7,8 16's for $450. They are the one piece black mesh design.....ok for the track.

As for the sway bars, nope, I have not but, I've not been looking too hard. I have installed the turbos tie rods, 22/29mm torsions, poly bushings up front w/zerks, neatrix in the rear plus the Bilstein Sports on all 4 corners. I need to order my tires and have some fun with this beast

I put one of Mark's kits in my 85 - went in without a problem. Like he says, the hardest part is getting the gauges out.

OK, stock ran out pretty quick.
I ordered parts to build 20 more units today.

If you are interested, please send me an Email and I will put you on the list when the parts arrive. I expect to be shipping again within 2 weeks.
Sorry, parts are special order.

What diameter is this light and does it use the OEM grommet or does it come with a new one? I have seen some real basic truck tailight type products before. Is this style similar to that?

It's a 2" light. It comes with a new grommet that fits the clock hole.
These are basic parts used in trailer trucks. I have been unable to find them in any store or truck stop and have to special order the parts. I add the additional wiring and wire taps needed to complete the installation.
