Yes, Last week we went for a factory tour in Stuttgart.
![]() Each 911/996 engine is built every 112 minuites or so by one mechanic. That means, that if you get problems with your engine track down the one guy that built it and open up a can of whhooopass ![]() ![]() all I can say is that seeing a 997 3,8liter engine sitting there and the chasis right near it was the highlight of my entire spring break. The castles, ww2 memorials, all became boring once i saw it... Best thing since sliced bread and breakerless ignition ![]() |

sounds like a trip well worth every penny. I take it they did a good job of regulating the no pics policy. Did you go to the museum too? I was there a few years ago but they said I had to buy a car in order to tour the factory. what was your secret? Or maybe I just looked like a scrubby backpacker. O well, glad you had fun.

Awesome! I too was a scrubby backpacker there in 1998, however the factory was closed when I got there! That was disapointing to say the least, but I did get to go to LeMans and witness the "final" victory. That was worth it all!
