Seized Motor running fine!

Grady Clay and RCWaldo are the winners!

After draining my woes Friday night in some rum, I dropped the engine sat am and the long story short is that it was the pressure plate bolt hitting the case :(

OK, so I had an extra one in the bag with the PP bolts and figured it was the shroud strap bolt. I VID'd the head of the damned thing to ensure that the strap bolt was different and *thought* I saw different markings on the strap bolt than the PP bolts. After discovering the guilty SOB was me using the wrong bolt, I was relieved that the crank wasn't welded to something causing the seizure (for both the engine and me...).

Put in the proper bolt and she worked like a champ! Here's the gravy, though. I was only running on 5 cylinders (beats 0, I know, but was hoping for 6). Ran it by my buds house (forever be it known that he will now be referred to as "The Magician") and he loosened up the injector lines off the CIS box until he found the dead one (loosened one and the motor didn't chug=dead cylinder). Tapped the injector with the wrench and VIOLA! I'm up and runnin' on all 6!!! Better than Shenaya's hair all over my lap (OK, kinda).

Back to the family for some quality time- thanks all for your inputs. Grady and RCWaldo- I owe you one!

Glad to hear it was a relatively easy fix, avoiding tearing into the engine!!

Good Job!!

yea...the jury's out on that one! I think I need to try her, then the car, back to back to be sure!
