Oil Line Question
how is the fitting on the oil outlet where the 90 conncts to the rubber hose fastened? is there supposed to be a crimp there? or is it clamped?
Thanks Kyle 71` 911 |

is the long oil line coming from the motor to the tank a pressure line? from the diagrams it looks like a return to the filter. do you think that a hose clamp would be good enough or am i tempting fate?
Thanks, Kyle 71` 911 |

Are you talking about the "S" hose? If so it uses hose clamps on either end.

That's the low pressure scavenge line; scavenge side of oil pump to oil tank to oil filter. A quality hose clamp will suffice; put two on, with the tightening screws 180 degrees opposed from each other. Jim

It's crimped on.

The local Hydraulic shop made me one for 50.00. I just took the old one with me, and he came out with a new one.
