Facing a new coil purchase.

While removing stuff from my fan shroud to remove my alternator the coil had thick oil leaking out from under the protective cap. Just a little but it was there.

Are they filled with oil? The coil is only 4 years old. I didn't notice any residue when I cleaned it putting it back after the rebuild.

What's the favorite transformer/coil to use, stock or trick?

If an aftermarket, how are they performing?

I think performance products has a short wire harness that moves the coil so its not up side down, stock is the best you know it fits, pelican may have the kit, Kevin
