This is a very cool fan install. Anyone else done a similar setup ?
Also what about rain and water on the fans ?

I have fans in my rear condenser since 7 years ago and no problems. The have not fail yet. I do this modification to a white 911 SC wit turbo tail and CIS fuel injection.

I sill drive it with no problems. Just buy low profile electric fans that pulls air into the engine compartment. Rebember to add a relay that activates with the compressor clutch.

Do you guys know if any of the cars commonly seen in junk yards may have useful pieces for our A/C system? I'm trying to restore mine, had no compressor (got a Sanden 505, is 507 a lot better than this?), need a new dryer and rear condenser (anything adaptable from other cars?).

I really need to economize and thank God I can get free stuff from junk yards, that's why I would possibly use anything adaptable.

Thanks a lot for your hints!

Rear condensers (the factory type) come up for sale all of the time in the classified section, and they are very inexpensive. They work very, very well.

Scott you're right, but I live in Italy and have to look at other classified. Plus, if I could save even a hundred bucks and get a more recent and more efficient condenser from another car I'd be even happier, you see what I mean? :-)

Thanks tho!

Condenser

Mine came from an Audi. Don't know which one. That's what my friend told me when he got it off his car to make room for an intercooler. I will try to find which Audi but it fits nicely with a fan under it.
Good luck

been there, did that, blows cold.
Of all the improvements to the ac system, blowing more air across condenser coil resulted in best improvement.
