5pt harness mounting question
 

I ordered a new set of 6pt harneses and received 5 pts in the mail today. Since our first track day is this weekend, I need to install the 5 points.

Where is the best mount for the crotch strap..... through the floor in front of the seat I assume? Right?

Through the floor using a large backing plate, through a sub hole in the seat. Running the sub strap over the front of the seat is not recommended since the strap won't restrain your pelvis too well.

Personally, I'd get the 6-points or a sub hole cut in the seat.

Plenty of people do DEs / track days with OEM 3-point belts, I'd personally be willing to do it once or twice despite the higer risk. Just my opinion.
