Need help finding correct street adapters for short race headers
Im having a difficult time finding the extension pieces that will adapt this set of factory style race headers to a factory muffler. The ones the GT racing sells will not work. I know that Patrick motorsports sells extension pieces as well, but Im curious if anyone here can help me identify these headers.
Any help you guys can give is appreciated. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1082203506.jpg |
Try paragon products. Jason stocks headers which look very similar to those. The street adaptors separately are about $90. Email me offline and I will send you a picture of my SAs

Thank you Richard. I'll email Jason this pic and see if he knows what they are.

anybody else recognize these? I emailed the pics to Jason, but didnt get a response. |
i have the old style Bursch headers that require the SA's. Mine are different than the ones pictured. So we narrowed it down....They arent Bursch!

Sherman,
Why not just get a local exhaust shop to make you some extensions? I always wanted to get a set of those short headers. You could tie the outlets together with a "Y" and then through a single flow through silencer (like Burns' or an aluminum motorcycle exhaust canister (LIGHT!)). I imagine such a set-up would improve scavenging (left bank to right bank of the engine!). If that is too load for the street you could double up the silencer (in series) and wrap it under the bumper where the stock muffler goes...or get a different type of muffler that is more restrictive, but the canister would be good for the track... |
You might just need to make custom extensions or have a mufflers shop make extensions. Almost all the factory style race headers i've seen use the scalop type of collector for clearence under the motor. Your's is using a standard 3 into 1 collector. I've seen headers like that before, but i can't remember where off the top of my head.

Try George at European Racing Headers. See this thread for contact details. He doesn't do email, I don't think. TT |
