Help Me Identify The Noise
 

While driving today, I noticed a new noise that doesn't seem right, but I can't figure out what it is.

It's a whine, or a hum comming from the near the smugglers box. It's constant with the engine running. I thought it was a bad blower motor but the A/C and all ventilation fans are turned off.

Any suggestions or previous experience on this to aid in my trouble shooting?

Fuel pump perhaps? When first turn the key without starting the car, is the whine similar to the sound you hear then?

I think Terry's hit it on the head. The only thing that I can think of in the front of the car besides the couple of fans that are up there is the fuel pump.

I thought fuel pump also, but didn't hear the noise with ignition on before engine running. I'll check again to be sure and remove the belly pan to try to isolate the noise further. Thanks.

Likely the pump. It only runs for a moment without the engine running( to pressurize the system ) then it runs constantly after the engine starts.
