does anyone know where in SoCal you'd start a 7 year old (and perhaps 42 year old) on such activities? I think there is a place on the 405 down towards Lawndale...

Nostatic...
Lots of karting going on in SoCal. That area is probably the biggest region for karting in the States. Check out these links for more regional info; http://www.ekartingnews.com/ click on "links" on the top. When there, select; Type of business: CLUBS Regions: PACIFIC you'll find many LA links there. Also, excellent karting forum there. There's a catagory for kids karts too. http://www.norcal-karting.com/index.html go to "resources" and you'll see some LA area club links. I watched the 5-7 year olds race yesterday too. What a blast they had!

Looks like great fun!
Was one of the most exciting things to do as a boy, need to take my kids somewhere too. There's a great go-kart track near the Calgary Airport that my friends and I would spend the day at; what a blast! Kelowna has a Malibou race track, but you have to be 16 to drive their cars (karts). Enjoy, thanks for the pic. |
