Tire pressures for a DE event at Streets of Willow

Tomorrow there's a PCA event at Streets of Willow. I'm taking my stock 86 Carrera coupe up there and would like to know what tire pressures to run. When I autocrossed it there were so many opinions that I ended up trying several set ups.

Not sure if there was a difference!

On the Willow course I just want to make sure that I'm running safe pressures that will be good for the day. I don't plan on pushing the car but then again I never do at autocrosses and then... you get the picture.

What region is putting on a PCA event on Mon. the 19th of May at SOW? I don't see it on the calendar at the Zone 8 website.

There are many variables to your question, including what tires you are using and what the ambient temp is at the track. With most street tires, I would start at 32F & 34R cold pressures and then check them when you come off the track. Don't go much over 40 psi hot- if they gain more than 6-8 psi in a session, bleed them down to 40 hot.

These settings may be on the high side, but you said safe, not fast.

Hey Pete-
I will help you tomorrow with tire info.
The 914/6 would be alot of fun at SOW. Are you sure you don't want to bring that?
