Insuring my 911. Anyone using the new DE program through Pacific Insurance?

Wondering if anyone out there is a policy holder and what the pros/cons are. I have never had track insurance before.

The coverage is for their PCA Drivers Ed program.

My car is worth approximately $15k and their minimum policy is $20k......but that's okay they will still cover me....I just pay the premium for $20k coverage.

I can forward additional details should there be an insurance expert out there who is willing to give advice.

I have track insurance through American Collectors Insurance for my SC for $16 or 17K. 20% deductible, but it is insurance against a total loss. Check out their website.

Unfortunately the Amer Collectors is not available to cars registered in RI. Otherwise the program sounds great.

Laurel Insurance out of Toronto will insure cars for PCA DE's only. they sell it in track day units of 10, 20 or 30. All 50 states.

15% deductible.
$35k car value for 10 track days in a year = $717

I don't think they have one.

Responding to my concerns about them being a "no name" they responded with:

"We have operated in Grand Am and ALMS for 10 years with hundreds of referrals from Teams like Racers Group,Kelly Moss,Orbit,Alex Job etc

Two years ago we started a program for PCA Cub Racing, and currently have 90 clients, including PCA president Tom Bobbitt"

Yeah that's them...Laurel out of Toronto is offering it...but the underwriting company is Pacific Insurance (not the better known Pacific Life with the whale crashing in the water).
