FWIW, on eBay, when I have listed "special" items, it has not been uncommon for the bidders to join eBay just to try to win the item. Same for my grandpops who has sold over 3000 items!

Of course this 911 auction could have some shill action, but there is an equal or better chance this car drew them into eBay.

I like the white with red interior combo; would be a nice start for an R replica, IMO.

I contacted the seller for more info several says ago. He sent me an e-mail with a file attached with answers to my questions and answers to all questions asked about the car. He also sent several zip files with very detailed photos. I'm guessing anyone who is/was serious about the car got the same treatment.
