Hershey opinion

It's been a while since I went to the Swap Meet. I've been hearing mixed reviews and am wondering if the trip is worth it. What's your opinion?

it's only once a year, so if you are not supe busy and not half a country away, why not? Take a trip and enjoy nice atmosphere and fellow enthusiast's company along with some nice P-cars...
I go every year but except for a few shirts, hats and other miscelenious parts, I never bought anything, it's just fun to go!

This will be my first Hershey trip and it will be 1000 miles round-trip, I'm excited!

Since I live on the East coast, and in a somewhat rural area, I don't get to see vintage Porsches very often, so I just enjoy a day once a year of being around several hundred of them, and the cool people (most of the time) who own them. If I can pick up a part or two in the process, all the better. It's definitely worth the five hour drive for that. Just one request:

NO RAIN THIS YEAR, PLEASE!!!

Mark,

You should stay home, I hear there's nothing good at the swap meet. No good deals or rare finds.... Just kidding...

This is my first hopefully it'll be worth it. But like the others said, what's better than hanging out with a few other thousand people who are p-car fanatics like us.

The swap meet is fun, but after looking at booth upon booth selling remants from their last rebuild, it gets a bit repetitive. It reminds me of the arts festival they have in the city. You plan on spending a day and your looking at your watch 2 hours later trying to decide what to do for the rest of the day. Hey, there could be worse ways to spend a day (as long as its not raining). And if your looking to buy or sell certain parts, its great. I just can't justify buying another Porsche t shirt this year.
