9 Magazine

Moderators: I would request that this message not be sent to off-topic since the original post by Brian of "9" Magazine went to this forum and stayed there.

In his post (at the end of November, I believe), he said he had a bunch of extra copies of 9 Magazine and would be glad to send a copy free to those who requested.

I sent him an e-mail and he responded to me TEN WEEKS AGO that one would be sent to me in a few weeks. Is ten weeks enough? Are there others who had the same experience?

I wanted to subscribe to a Porsche Magazine. I was going to give this "9" Magazine a chance, but I gave up and subscribed to Excellence instead. They sent me a sample issue in two-three weeks, and I just sent my subsctiption order in today.

- Bill

I feel your pain... 9 Magazine's customer service sucks! I remember way back when, I sent them some money for a discounted, promotional issue or something like that and I never received a thing. I felt gypped, but it was only a few bucks. But still... oh well, what can you do.

Same here, I even sent a follow up message and got a response that it would be sent out right away. Didn't get that one either.

"9" will not be getting my money.

Add me to the list of waiters. BTW, I never did get the latest Excellence issue and I can't find a website for them, so I need to snailmail my gripe.

I waited a year for the trial issue that Excellence offered thru a coupon. Never came. They heve no website. You have to call them and send the money beofre you will get the mag. After hearing and hearing about all the referrences to the write ups in Excellence, I finally sent the money in only to wait 2 months for an issue. After 4 issues, I don't see what the hoopala is all about. There are 2 feature articles in each issues plus a bunch of tech stuff you can get here twice over. And then there is the P-car market stuff which many say is out of date and undervalued. I doubt if I will continue.

I gave up on 9 after the first subsciption peroid. Enough said. Sorry for the rant, but I've been waiting for someone to bring up the magazine topic. I guess this BBS is just too good by comparision that the day of print may be past.

Excellence Magazine is a bit thin on content, but it sure has purdy pictures in it.

Plus, I like the ads as they help me keep a pulse on what's going on in the 996 world. heh heh

I saw a copy of "9" at a local newstand - I wouldn't waste a dime on it. What a lame publication! You're not missing anything.

Same request from 9's generous offer, same response, and same result. NOTHING.

Oh well, what do you expect for "free"

regards,

911 & Porsche World is a very nice rag. Unfortunately, my local newstand suddenly stopped carrying it. A bit pricey though.

Maybe he just wanted e-mail address's or something. I didn't get the mag either. Not a good way to try to sell a mag., is it? I'll just stick with Exellence and Pano. Euro car isn't bad sometimes.
