High Idle

After plugging in the O2 sensor on my 83 SC 3.0L for smog check I am experiencing a high idle after warm up. I have searched the threads and did get some ideas. I didn't see any regarding the O2 sensor. I know I can uplug after smog but would like to get some ideas as to what is causing the high idle when plugged in.

Thanks,
Bill

Cool Hi, Idle......

When you plugged in the O2 sensor the lambda system in your car leaned out the mixture. You can make a temporary idle adjustment with the idle air bleed screw on the left side of the air box. Then when the smog nazi's are satisfied, simply unplug the O2 sensor and readjust the idle speed.

Good Luck!
