What a great event....

We got down there about 9am saturday morning...

My buddy and I were sitting on the pit wall when they started lining up cars for the concours minding our own business when all of a sudden they put the #1 Pcar right in front of us...what luck..!! Didn't even have to move.

Another cool thingy is the pic Wayne posted here with the car with the t2222 tag...the guy on the left with the white hat is is my buddy and you see my right leg and foot (hehe) in the pic..

That paticular car was wild looking. All hand formed aluminum. All the 356's were insane. ALL the cars were beautiful...

Anyway...what a great event. I've never seen so many Pcars in one spot. Some beautiful 911's plus eveything else...

For those of you who weren't able to make it...be sure the next time you find the time. It's fantastic.

I spent all day at the track with my son and it was incredible,so many Porsches you didn't know where to start,we stopped by the Porsche display tent just as they were uncovering the Carrera GT,we took some great pics with no one around,what a fantastic car.Then all the race cars,the crowd,the aura it was great!!! Even got some pics of Jerry Seinfeld in and out of his 917,tough life!!!Then there was the 40 911s for the 40 years of the 911 and on and on,if you ever get a chance to go to this in North America again I would urge you to do so,I took 270 pics today,I had to give my digital camera a rest.

This has been an awesome event so far. Too hard to describe, but I am sure Wayne's pics will do it some justice. I thought yesterday was good after driving the 911 around the track a couple of times, but today I was fortunate to make it into the autograph session and met an incredible collection of about 25 drivers (e.g., Elford, Bell, Ickx, Gurney, Haywood, etc.). Then got lucky and ran into Seinfeld in the garage, who graciously signed my program. Then got to look all over, and I mean UP CLOSE, the Carrera PanAm 550 from the museum (you cannot get this close to the car at the museum - it's unbelievable). Seeing and hearing the 917s out there was indescribable - made the hair stand up on my neck. Just a fantastic day.
