Search for a SC or Carrera is over

Got tired of not having a street car and just track cars
Started to look for a good SC or Carrera, I found a real nice 79 SC with 60k miles on it but could not warn up to its color, Copper brown metallic and tan interior. (I’m too much of a blue freak) Settled for a 85 Carrera with 61K Prussian Blue, blue interior, limited slip, sport seats, sport shocks and sunroof. This is the same color and options as my 86 930 was so its a little like going home again. Pretty scary when you already have the touch paint…. Got it home Saturday.

Pretty car. Got any pics of the brown SC? That color also sounds nice.

And GREAT year :)

Nice going! Car looks great, and it sounds like you know how to look at them. ;)

Someone from around here should really buy that '79, great year and looks like new. Color looks more like "Rose-colored something", maybe it's just the picture. How much $$ and what state was it located in?

Love the prussian blue. and a Carrera too. I think you ended up upgrading - not settling

I happen to like my Copper brown metallic 78, thakyouverymuch. ;)

That SC, sure it's a '79? Looks like the antenna is still on the driver side, which I've seen on a very early '78. Mine is on the pass. side.

Do love that blue, though. Looks like the wheels are color-matched in the photos too.

Dan :)

Yup. :D It just jumped out at me, for some reason. I also noticed the silver trim on the rear window, but figured that could have been from replacement, as the rest of the trim is black. That's practically a picture of my car, aside from some small cosmetic differences.

I can't imagine any pre-SC fenders hanging around until '79 to get the antenna on the wrong side like that. Weird.

Dan :)
