Carrera 3.6 Good-Bye pics, she's gone..
I'll miss it that's for sure, I finally get everything worked out on the car and let it go. I have encouraged the new owner to utilize Pelican for all of her needs. Yes the new owner is a lady, a VERY happy lady!! She and her husband could not believe the smooth Varioram power. I bet hubby will be kissing major booty for grocery trips!!
My 89 Turbo project is soon to be underway. Thanks for all of the help and support with this car. I have learned alot, you guys are excellent. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Embs; 04-26-2004 at 02:21 PM.. |

There is only so much you can do with a NA engine, while this car is quick, it is boring compared to a modified 930.
This car couldn't really serve as a platform for what I wanted, so it had to go. |

how did you like that Triad exhaust? I've been considering one for awhile now.

I loved it, howled like an F1 when I mashed it. It was quiet around town and at idle I didn't get any dyno numbers so I really can't comment on the performance. |

Red Targas are changing hands this week. Very nice car, I'm sure the project will be fantastic. The next is always better than the one before it.
Of course, they say that about marriages.................... ![]() |

Buy them, sell them

Wow. Must be hard to part with that, Todd.
Tell us more about your 930 project! Have you already sourced a car?

Todd, I'm shocked! I had you pegged as a lifer (like me...at least for now).
Hopefully you didn't take too much of a beating. BTW...were you able to use the Triad with the factory heat pipe in place? I'm not sure that question was ever officially resolved....just curious.

I noticed that you have the same rear bumper on your targa. What rear bumper to body seal did you use for it. I have a small gap between where the original seal ended and the bumper accordian began. ???

I will tell you that I didn't get half of what I have in the car (not including legal fees...) These transplants are fReaKs for average people who get their oil changed at the dealer. Trying to explain to someone that the car is improved because of the later power plant can be confusing and self defeating. Oh they feel the power and like it, but that's it. I guarantee these people will go to some dealer and hear a major line of BS, like; "we are still trying to figure out how many different year's worth of parts are on this car". Even though I provided them with a complete list of how everything is put together, wiring schematics, what relays to buy, oil filters (Top Carrera, bottom 993), etc. Dealers are like lawyers; billable hours. (sorry to any lawyers reading this! ![]() The 89 turbo project will rock. Knowing that I am always going to pour cash into something, might as well be 5 or 6 hundred widebodied HP. T odd |
